Hide galery name and owner
« on: October 15, 2012, 10:11:27 AM »
After a search in the gallery, the search result list shows per hit:
the thumbnail and description of the image
plus: [Galerij naam:Schilderijen] [Eigenaar: admin].

Where can I choose to hide those last two parameters?

There is no setting in the backend that allows you to do that, you will need to change the RSGallery2 code for that.

Find the file /JOOMLAROOT/components/com_rsgallery2/lib/rsgsearch/search.html.php which has a function showResults on line 36. Scroll down to line 79 and comment it (HTML style) to remove the [Gallery name: My Gallery's name]
original line:
Code: [Select]
[<?php echo JText::_('COM_RSGALLERY2_GALLERY_NAME');?>:<a href="<?php echo JRoute::_("index.php?option=com_rsgallery2&gid=".$match->gallery_id);?>"><?php echo $match->name;?></a>]new commented line:
Code: [Select]
<!-- [<?php echo JText::_('COM_RSGALLERY2_GALLERY_NAME');?>:<a href="<?php echo JRoute::_("index.php?option=com_rsgallery2&gid=".$match->gallery_id);?>"><?php echo $match->name;?></a>]-->Added are "<!--" and "-->" at the beginning and end of the line.
Then to remove the owner text [Owner: admin] comment line 82 (PHP style) from
Code: [Select]
echo "[".JText::_('COM_RSGALLERY2_OWNER').":&nbsp;".galleryUtils::genericGetUsername($match->userid)."]";to
Code: [Select]
// echo "[".JText::_('COM_RSGALLERY2_OWNER').":&nbsp;".galleryUtils::genericGetUsername($match->userid)."]";where only "//" is added at the beginning of the line.

Please do note your changes as they will be undone whenever you'll update/reinstall RSGallery2. This is not part of the template, so creating your own template won't help with this.

With a little boy in the house I don't spend as much time on RSG2 anymore.

I still like RSG2, if you do too, please think about how you can invest some of your time in RSG2... the one remaining coding volunteer (Whazzup) can use your help!
