Display and Templates / How do I depublish the Download icon?
« Last post by Malu on October 20, 2016, 11:25:43 AM »

Could you tell me where I can depublish the Download icon that shows beneath the single image presentation?

Many thanks in advance,

Hanneke Smulders

In my old website, I have managed, with the kind help of Mirjam, to depublish the Tabs that are normally shown beneath a single image:
Description, Vote, Respond and EXIF.

So only the content of the description is shown, without the Tabs.

Could you help me to achieve this in the new RSGallery version?
Many thanks in advance,

Hanneke Smulders
In my old website, the presentation starts with the first nine images in thumbnails, together with the option to start the slideshow (link).

Now the only options I see to choose from are: Diashow or Overzicht gallerijen.

How can I achieve the old default presentation again?

Many thanks for your help,
Hanneke Smulders
RSGallery2 4.x bugs & problems / Less options for the public
« Last post by Malu on October 19, 2016, 04:21:16 PM »

I don't want the public to vote or comment on the images. So I refused those rights for the public.
How can I delete the Tabs beneath each image Stemmen/Reacties/EXIF ?

And how can I unpublish the Download icon beneath each image?

Many thanks for your help.

Hanneke Smulders
OK, have found the solution.
But I would like another option, so not Diashow nor Overzicht gallerijen.
In the previous version of my website I was able to show this setup:
How can I achieve this old setup in the new RSGallery version?

Many thanks for your help,
Hanneke Smulders
I have started afresh with my website (old one is in Joomla 2.5.27) Joomla 3.6.3 is installed as well as RSGallery 4.2.0.
Now I would like to add a link on the homepage and in the main menu to go to the image gallery. To show the pictures and facilitate a slide show etcetera.
Many thanks in advance for your tips.
Hanneke Smulders
In this case the views have to be switched off.

In github there are single modules to replace the behaviour.
  • RSGallery2_Module_LatestImages
  • RSGallery2_Module_LatestGalleries
otherwise the code has to be changed

RSGallery2 4.x bugs & problems / Re: ERROR UPLOAD PHOTO'S
« Last post by whazzup on August 13, 2016, 06:56:15 PM »
Hello Cor Visser,
the reason for the error is that the upgraded version of PHP doesn't accept hard references any more
Code: [Select]
nnn &= yyyy; This kind of error is fixed in the actual version. In this case the actual Joomla version is 3.x is needed.
Is there any chance you may update joomla and RSGallery2?
regards whazzup
